Meet Our Team

Elizabeth A. Main, B.A., M.B.A., Senior Vice President
Elizabeth has extensive knowledge in the Accident and Health industry. She held a senior position with a large international intermediary and was responsible for the creation and management of a broking division with a Canadian MGU operation. In these positions Elizabeth has developed an international reputation with clients and markets. She was also instrumental in the creation of a Security Committee while with a former employer. Elizabeth is a graduate of York University, and earned her Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto.
Lorna Ekblad, Claims Manager
Lorna has extensive experience working with reinsurance claims in Accident, Health and Travel Insurance. She liaises with client companies, assistance providers and reinsurers in the management and collection of claims.
Blair Nokes, Office Manager
Blair received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario and continued his education at Humber College. As Office Manager, Blair is responsible for handling all aspects of the administration of the office; including treaty documentation.
Darwin Lyons, Accounting Associate
Darwin graduated from the University of Windsor receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Her experience includes liaising with senior executives in various capacities and working in an accounting position for non-profit organizations. Darwin is handling the premium invoicing and payments to reinsurers.
David E. Wilmot, BA, FIIC, Consultant/Security Committee Member
David has many years experience in the Canadian and International reinsurance industry, recently retiring from his position as Senior Vice President & Chief Agent in Canada for the TOA Reinsurance Company of America. Mr. Wilmot is past Chairman of the Reinsurance Research Council (RRC), past Chairman of the Institute for Catastrophic Loss Reduction, having also served on a number of insurance industry related committees such as Director of Insurance Bureau of Canada, Technical Underwriting Committee of the Reinsurance Research Council (RRC), the Ontario Committee of Insurance Bureau of Canada, and Executive of the Society of Fellows of the Insurance Institute of Canada, among other activities. David is a frequent speaker and lecturer on reinsurance topics, a contributor to insurance and reinsurance industry publications, author of a series of booklets and articles on technical reinsurance issues, and co-creator of the Insurance TRAC Report. Mr. Wilmot earned his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Waterloo, and is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Canada (FIIC).
Susan A. Fyfe, BASc, MBA, Consultant/Security Committee Member
Susan has been a consultant in the reinsurance industry since 2002. She commenced her insurance career in a direct underwriting role at the Guarantee Company of North America. In 1989, she was a founding employee of London Guarantee Insurance Company (LGIC). Susan held progressively responsible positions for the next 13 years, the last seven as Vice President and Product Manager, Corporate Risk. Leadership of the liability underwriting division extended to the development of new policy wordings, establishment of underwriting guidelines, and securing of reinsurance participation. As a member of the committee responsible for the integration of LGIC into The St. Paul Companies in 2002, she oversaw the transfer of the Corporate Risk division. Susan has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Guelph, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University, majoring in Marketing and International Business.
Joanne Barcellos, Accounting Consultant
Joanne's career has spanned both insurance and reinsurance working in varied accounting functions. She has experience in both insurance brokerage operations as well as with reinsurance intermediaries. With her background Joanne is well versed in all technical and corporate procedures and requirements.
